Stainless Steel Kitchens
The term stainless steel kitchen is a broad term that can mean anything from just stainless steel appliances to all stainless steel cabinets and countertops with integrated stainless steel sinks. Steel cabinet is sometimes used interchangeably with stainless steel cabinets, but there are significant differences. Steel cabinets can be either stainless steel or carbon steel. If the cabinets are made from carbon steel, they are usually painted to protect the surface from corrosion. Stainless steel cabinets are corrosion resistant and are not normally painted.
When considering a stainless steel kitchen, there are several options available to choose from. A stainless steel cabinet would be chosen if durability is important. Floods, smoke, termites, or temperature and humidity extremes will not affect the appearance or functionality of a stainless steel cabinet. They are also ideal for those people with chemical sensitivities who may be sensitive to certain wood products, adhesives, or finishes.
If the cabinet materials are not an important factor, one can achieve the look of a stainless steel kitchen, by just replacing the doors and drawers on standard wood cabinets. This is often a less expensive option to obtain the desired stainless steel appearance. A number of premium kitchen cabinet manufacturers and custom mill workers integrate our stainless steel doors and drawers into their products either as accent doors or entire stainless steel kitchens. Our doors and drawers can also be used to update older, but still functional wood cabinets to give a whole new look to the kitchen without the expense of removing and replacing the cabinet box.
Over the past several years, outdoor kitchens have gained in popularity. It is not uncommon to find an outdoor kitchen with all the features and craftsmanship found on premium indoor kitchens. Stainless steel cabinets are ideal for outdoor use because of their corrosion resistance and durability. Stainless steel cabinets manufactured by Lasertron for outdoor use are identical in materials, construction, and workmanship to our indoor cabinets.
